Language Of Flowers

Once upon a time there was a little girl who loved to spend her days in the garden dancing amongst the happy little flowers that blessed the land with the cheerful energy of bliss. She would examine each pretty bud with not only the wonder that captivated her eyes, but the curiosity that beamed within her heart. The flowers each had their own way of speaking to her, a language that was hidden amongst their elegant shapes, their delightful colors, and their fresh smell. They whispered to her words of splendour, of innocence, and most importantly of hope. That little girl dreamed a thousand dreams and as she grew older, she knew she wouldn’t be able to stay with her friends forever. However, she made sure to hold their wisdom close to her heart and no matter what happened, she always knew that each encounter with a flower or plant of any kind would make her heart sing.
Well that little girl was me. And here I am, a flower in the City of Dreams, the Concrete Jungle, surrounded by people of all different kinds and sorts blooming left and right. We are all flowers unique in our own way! We each hold a beauty within and can speak of gratitude, simplicity, and compassion. So be that flower, stand out from the crowd, and inspire others to do the same.
I often feel a longing for nature, for the country, for the fresh simplicity of a beautiful garden. In New York, I love to find places that remind me of the serenity of the country life within the hustle and bustle of the city. Washington Square Park is one of the few places I find to be teeming with life of all sorts. Daffodils, irises, magnolias, and most importantly the Yoshino cherry trees. Not to mention, soft jazz can often be heard from talented musicians of all sorts.
So, get outside, take a walk in one of New York City’s many parks. Look, listen, feel, and find peace within. We must remember though, not just to look with our eyes, but to feel with our hearts…always. Happy Spring to all you flowers out there! Bathe in the light of these days and shine bright like the Sun 🙂

Your Loving,
Zoe Rose
